BLUE AGRO, is a new technology based company, created in 2010, located in North of Spain which its main objective is the development of eco-fertilizers. The company is run by two senior experts that have a broad experience in the sector where they have been working during the last 25 years. BLUE AGRO aims to solve the environmental problem generated by fertilizers chemically synthetized and the low yields that actual organic fertilizers generate. BLUE AGRO wants to develop a new generation of fertilizers by using biotechnological tools.
COLSEN was established in 1989 (Hulst, NL) and represents an environmental advisory, technology and engineering company. Colsen has gained vast experience in the areas of waste water treatment and valorization of industrial and communal organic waste streams. Colsen has developed technologies in (thermophilic) digestion- and digestate treatment, biogas production, nutrient recovery and can deal with a wide variety of complex environmental challenges.
The Colsen activities include environmental problem-solving, design & engineering, construction supervision, operation, maintenance as well as soil remediation and permit preparations. Its customer base is in the food-processing and agro-industry and the waste water sectors. Colsen has executed projects all over the world. For the purpose of project execution and market development, Colsen cooperates with local partners in each country, generally in a Joint Venture.
EKONEK is a new technology based company created in 2009, to develop new products and their production processes based in organic waste from the agrifood sector. Ekonek has developed new powder products for animal feed or the fertilizer sector using pulse combustion drying technology (video) and will develop new granular products using spouted bed drying technology.
NEIKER, founded in 1998, is a Public Society of the Basque Government and, since 2006, a member of TECNALIA, a Technological Corporation whose aim is to contribute to the economic and social development of the Basque Country through the promotion of Technological Innovation. NEIKERTecnalia concentrates its activity in investigation and knowledge transfer, in the scope of agrarian, food and environmental sciences. The organization is structured into three Business Units and six Scientific Departments, which focus their activity in R&D projects whose objectives are oriented towards Plant Production and Protection, Animal Production, Animal Health, Biotechnology, Ecosystems and Ecotechnologies.
